Great hotel, super staff, all round great asset for the Brent group! I had a single room for my stay which was on the smaller side but perfectly adequate, The food was great quality, and a wide range of choice! I would definitely recommend this hotel Walkability: A perfect distance for a leisurely stroll through the town, or along the river which is immediately opposite the hotel and the Barnstaple and Devon museum 3minute walk away

What a fantastic place. I'm in my 60s so I loved all the grandeur and opulence of the reception and dining room. The bedroom was brilliant and the bathroom had a huge shower which was very luxurious. We had a room with a small balcony and a river view, just a shame that the weather was a little overcast but we still managed to sit outside. We had breakfast and the choice was overwhelming, everything from fresh fruit, cereal, American style pancakes and a full English breakfast. There was tea and coffee at your table and numerous fruit juices to choose from the buffet. Every single employee we spoke to from receptionist, barman, the waiters and the managers were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Parking is available around the back of the hotel and is free for residents, just ask for a token at reception to get the barrier to go up. It was my first time staying in a 4 star hotel and I loved every moment. Hopefully we can return again soon.
