An absolute gem! Delightful period hotel. Rooms are spacious and modern. Had a dreamy nights sleep in a very, very comfy bed. Tea tray with devon teas and coffee was a nice touch. Although breakfast window is small (8.30am - 9.30am) this meant that the room was pleasantly full (but not overcrowded). The room was bright and airy. Breakfast was lush. Good selection. With a spectacular sausage, crispy bacon and fried bread with the crusts cut off! Fresh coffee was offered in plenty and everything beautifully presented. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be recommending and returning.

Rooms: Spacious and comfortable, clean and bright. Well maintained and a fridge. Nearby activities: Plenty of places to visit around Barnstaple plus for the walkers the Tarka trail is not far Walkability: Easy walk into town with plenty of eating places and coffee stops, spoiled for choice Food & drinks: Good range of places to eat for bothe day and night, I can recommend the Queen Ann on the old harbour side for coffee and lunch
