Poor customer service and test failed

My in laws came in and were seen promptly and in a caring way, my Mother in Law is in a wheelchair and was treated with dignity and compassion. Excellent service from caring and professional staff members.

Called in to opticians just to browse glasses and got told I couldn't because I hadn't got an appointment. The shop was totally empty so no social distancing was needed. I could understand if I needed help or wanted to try any on but instantly told NO was quite rude I thought.

My previous two eye examinations were performed here, and I bought five prescription glasses in total. On the third visit, after my eye examination, I had to wait for the previous customer to choose their glasses, before I was allowed anywhere near the display. The previous customer genuinely tried on 40 pairs of glasses (I stopped counting at that point) whilst I was stood there like a spare part, waiting to select the pair of glasses I'd already decided I liked! When I asked how much longer I'd have to wait (28 minutes later) I was told I could come back later, but would have to make another appointment. The person before me had already eaten into my pre booked appointment, that I'd already waited 32 days for! I'm a full time carer and was required at home. My time was clearly being wasted here, so I had no choice but to leave empty handed.
