Pains me to leave this sort of negative review but I am happy with the outcome. The negativity is purely based on the waiting time and lack of any update. I ordered the tablet headstone for my parents on 18th November 2021 and paid a third deposit. It was explained that it would be done by the end of December to the start of January. I asked them to keep me updated as I do not live local and would have to get a flight over for the stone being laid - told this wasn't an issue. I recieved no update in January and had to ring several times where the phone wasn't answered at different times of the day. Also sent an email which wasn't replied to. Finally got speaking to someone at Roberts and was told there was a delay on the granite and it would be complete at the start of February. This came and went. Same in March with me chasing and calling Roberts with no reply until they called me back for a signature in order for the council documents to be submitted. I was then told it would be the start of April. I again reinforced that I don't live local and would appreicate an update. Finally recieved a text message from Roberts at the beginning of May to state it was complete and the stone was laid - I was a bit pirturbed as I wanted to know prior as agreed. I was happy to recieve a photograph of the completed stone in the text however. I understand about business pressures etc but a simple text message with an update would have been beneficial, it's not as if I was waiting for a TV to be delivered. This sort of product is much moe personal/sensitive in nature. As I said I am happy with the end result it was just a bit of an annoyance to get there considering the circumstances. The staff when I did get speaking with them were lovely and helpful but the lack of progress and updates was disappointing.
