My son has been doing martial arts for nearly 6yrs he joined the combat academy February 2022 after wanting to start doing competitive fighting,best decision by far World class coaching by World class fighters

I took my son to 2 other martial arts centres before trying this one and he said he loved it but didn't like leaving me and going in another room (he was only 5). I took him to the Combat Academy a few months later and the minute I walked in the door I thought this place has a different atmosphere, a better atmosphere. The kids aren't too far away from the parents and he could see me from the mats, so he was happy. He couldn't wait to go again. As the weeks and months went by he made friends and so did I. His attention, listening skills and behaviour came on lovely. Then I heard that a ladies class would be starting on Tuesdays during the day, so I thought this would be a good idea for me to get fit, lose weight and learn a new skill, the main drive for joining was so I could help my son practice at home. As it happens I'm hooked, I love it and regret not doing it years ago. I've made loads of friends, infact they talk about the Combat Academy been like family and it sure feels that way. I'd tried hula hooping, gym, swimming, trampolining, legs bums tums, you name it I'd tried it and never stuck at them as they never held my attention for long enough. At the Combat Acedemy I feel motivated to go week in week out as I'm learning and developing myself, it truly feels like a work for the mind body and soul. My son has a few more belts to go and he will be a black belt, I never thought I would get any belts and I've got loads, I'm catching my son up slowly but surely, my partner also joined so we can all do it together as a family. I would say the Combat Acedemy has brought us closer together as we have a common interest, that we all enjoy. The coaches were great with my son when he was new and have continued to encourage him to be the best version of himself, teaching him morals and values to prepare him for his teenage and adult years. They are highly motivated, encouraging and you can see they genuinely enjoy what they do, they are literally transforming lifes. The centre is a clean safe environment with up to date equipment, the reception and admin team are always available to answer any questions and offer support to you and your child. The cost is good value for the amount of enjoyment and future opportunities on offer in comparison to other hobbies. If your in doubt I'd recommend having a chat with the admin team who will be sure to answer all your questions.

I cannot recommend The Combat Academy enough to anyone, this place is part of our lives and we love it here. It has been an absolute success story for us all, for myself not only has it bettered me physically but has also impacted positively on my career, I have gained more confidence to push myself in my work gain promotions. Our son has progressed massively and he has become so proud of his achievements and we can't believe how far he has come on. For anyone thinking of starting this Journey I would say immediately to give it a try, it will be one of the best decisions you will make. The Instructors are dedicated and will help you achieve your results whilst having a great time. Thank you Combat Academy!

My children have been attending the Barnsley centre for 7 years. I have witnessed this place grow and go from strength to strength, creating world class fighters and coaches. Everyone here cares. Everyone from the owner, the staff, the coaches to the young helpers, across all gyms! They care about the kids, their experiences, their progress and everything else inbetween. They are dedicated and passionate about martial arts. My son has developed and changed so much and a lot of that is through the time and dedication given to him here. My daughter absolutely loves coming and really enjoys the fitness at only 10 years old. It's helping instill a healthy attitude towards food and fitness that will last a lifetime. I can honestly say that it's worth every single penny! This gym has become an extended family and support network. From Ninja tots, to juniors, to Fighter team development, there is something for everyone. You won't regret joining.
