Karen Grandidge and Lucy were the solicitors involved in me buying and selling my house last year and were recommended through our estate agents. Communication with Karen was non existent but Lucy did reply to emails. Once my house was sold, Karen did email to say that they had worked out my costings wrong and I owed them approx 300. Which I paid. Then, I recieved a letter from the same Solicitors saying they had, again, worked out my costs wrong and I owed a further 115 to pay stamp duty. I thought this was part of the 300 I'd already sent, so ignored it. Today, I have recieved a letter from HM Customs and Revenue as my Stamp Duty isnt paid. Absolute farce. Communication poor and can't use a calculator or pay your stamp duty for you.
