I had sunday lunch here a couple of weeks ago. pan fried hake for me. the portion was quite small compared with my husbands roast beef dinner, which looked like it could have fed two people at least. the fish was well cooked and tasty but i'm not convinced it was value for money. the staff (very welcoming, friendly and helpful), were one of highlights of my visit. the toilets, however, could do with some attention. Vegetarian options: from looking at the menu they seemed interesting.

What a pub. Beautiful, low key look. Very down to earth. It's a foodie pub. For 23 for the beef roast, you expect it to be great. Everything was, except the roasties unfortunately, slightly too hard. But the rare sirloin was insanely good. In a quiet beautiful backstreet. It's a special treat roast, but well worth it. Killer pub.
