I have had the worst experience by the rudest shop owner I encountered in london. I saw a cabinet that I liked and when I asked him about the price , he undermined me in a way that I cannot afford it.when I told him that it was for my property in Spain, he somehow changed his tune but it was too late and I am local despite my foreign look .

Now heres a very quaint little place smack bang in the middle of Angel well worth a visit for any art & antiques enthusiast whilst sipping on a nice sized cappuccino with cake on the side whilst listening to good old tunes ranging from the mid 20s to late 50s and browsing through oil paintings by local artists and all sorts of bits n pieces of weird and wonderful trinkets. It's a great little spot to pop into whilst out shopping in the area, easily accessed by public transport with just a stone throw away from Angel Station and the vibrant city centre, surrounded by shops and market place. Enjoy your visit... I surely did.

Beautiful setting nice to have a gallery coffee shop and dessert parlour in one premises. Owner is lovely too

The place seems great but the coffee wasn't particularly good and the 'babycino' made for the kids burned my son's throat, meaning it was literally boiling milk: strange concept of a 'babycino', and risky instance. So, very unhappy with this, and the lack of admission of the mistake by means of refund or help with medical assistance or anything.

If you are selling mass produced products, putting them on a shelf does not make you a "gallery". You're actually a shop. First strike. I had ordered a picture framed at this "gallery" and had been given assurances that my order would be ready for friday (it needed to be there for saturday) Having ordered with good time in hand, 8 days, I thought this would be ample time to get everything ready. No. Well, yes and no. The frame was ready, but was sent to another Sam. In Chichester. He got mine and I got his. Arriving on Saturday to be messed around by the arrogant and patronising owner only to find that I would not be seeing my order for when it was needed left me astounded at how such a massive cock up could be made. Second strike. So after leaving empty handed I consoled myself that someday, I would have my order and would have to turn up to my niece's birthday empty handed and explain that I would get the picture to her as soon as, I am promised that I will have some money reimbursed to me for the delay - fair enough. Roll on tuesday and I try and call numerous times but with no answer or option to leave a message, just a fax machine; get an answer phone. I then run out on my lunch break to see if its there and lo and behold, it is. But I am refused what was promised to me as apparently I have personally insulted the ageing patron of this establishment by (though I made several calls to say I was not coming) not turning up on the Monday to collect. "Couldn't have been that urgent" he says, utterly failing to understand and disregarding the need for the picture to be ready by the agreed upon time. After explaining point by point why I deserve money off due to a human error on his part (something which he seemed very blas about) he begrudgingly gave me my promised discount. He then stated that he thought I was lying about my nieces birthday, that he didn't need my business or people like me (what ever that is supposed to mean) and told me to "respect my elders". At this I was so flabbergasted at the allegations topped off with the cartoon-like suggestion that I "respect my elders" that I wished him a nice day and left; if a little disappointed it wasn't topped off with him derisively shaking a cane in my direction. As keen as I am to support local business', the ageing patron of this one is lacking in all manners. As soon as I expressed a disappointment in the service I had paid for, at a mistake he had made, he turned. Overall, just don't go here. I will never be back here and I would urge you to do the same. There's a Kodack Express next door that said they would do the job for a fraction of the price and without and of the pomp and pretentiousness. All credit to who ever did frame the picture as I am happy with the result. Getting to that point though was not worth the bother.
