Barnburgh Surgery

Since this new firm took over we have gone from having a well run accountable service with two doctors present each day, to a surgery run on a shoe string with a properly qualified GP present one day per week. Today, It took me over 50 phone calls to get through and told my 10 month old child had to wait another 36 hours and speak to a clinician not a doctor. Whats worse is that this is the norm not the exception. I really feel for the staff who have to try to manage the situation with basically their key resource (Doctors) not available as they are working at their other surgery. The owners are bleeding this surgery dry with at least three times too many patients than it can accommodate. Shameful !

Tried 4 separate occasions to get an appointment, non available. First time unable to get appointment two days later my wife was taken into hospital by ambulance. Second time of ringing for an appointment the Nurse practitioner had gone home with no phone call appointment so another weekend in DRI, on 4 separate occasions of trying to get an appointment this has hasnt happened. Two separate occasions in A&E two weeks off work sick, 2 units of blood later and still no communication with the GP. Absolutely dreadful!! I wouldnt even call it service because there just hasnt been any at all!
