A great adventure awaits you. Come on a Thursday and you can purchase a ride on the 7 1/4 guage railway. For Kids at heart of all ages. There is even an Annual subscription. Also great for long walks in fresh air and vast gardens. Enjoy.

Wonderful pace to visit great sculptures in different settings and a lovely miniature railway which takes you round the large estate and stations to alight and walk where you like and children always enjoy the train rides .

The reason for my missing star is because I found the website booking process unclear. It said MUST book online. We chose a time slot and booked tickets thinking it was for the train ride. We then arrived, nobody asked to see the tickets wed purchased, yet we then had to pay for more tickets for the train ride as the online booking was for the garden entry and non refundable. Even though nobody asked to see those tickets. All very confusing and makes you wonder if you made a mistake or if buying both tickets is mandatory. Our daughter enjoyed the train ride very much but please make it clearer online otherwise it feels a little like being tricked into buying two lots of tickets when you just want to go on the miniature train. The grounds were rather sludgy after rain so we didnt really have a lot of area to walk round after the train ride. A booking option online such as gardens and mini rail or gardens only would be much clearer.
