Joe and his two sons fitted a parquet floor in our kitchen and hallway. We were so pleased we had them back to do the same in our lounge and craft room. We can't recommend them enough. They are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of wooden flooring. They truly deserve there status of "The Guild of Master Craftsmen". We bought a house with oak floors and when the previous owners moved out we realised that they were in a terrible state - scratches, stains from dog urine, crayon, sun damage etc etc. Joe and his sons have worked a miracle and restored the floors to their original finish plus getting rid of some squeaky boards. Fantastic work by the team - we are delighted with what they have done and recommend their services without hesitation. Service: Wood floor refinishing

This is a very easy review to write - we absolutely love the work that Cooney & Sons / York Wood Flooring have done in our house. We had solid oak boards fitted in two upstairs bedrooms, our landing and on the stairs. From beginning to end Joe and Joe Junior worked with outstanding craftsmanship and real dedication, and the results are beautiful. I would especially praise the ingenuity of Joe's problem-solving, as several unexpected things cropped up during the floor fitting (as they often will in an old house) and he found the right solution each time. We will be booking them again to come and install parquet in our downstairs rooms when we are ready.

I have no reservation about highly reccomending Joe Cooney and Sons! Not only is Joe a thoroughly lovely fella to have around your home, the workmanship and attention to detail is outstanding! We had newly fitted engineered oak to the living room and hall way and our dining room floor re sanded and finished. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. The quality and finish of the work is outstanding. Joe listened to what we wanted and even worked with my husband on a bit of a radical change to the stair way in order to deliver our vision.
