I renewed our lifetime policy a few days ago, as it renews every year, this year up 21% from last year.
We've just moved and requested the address to be changed. I wasn't contacted at all and received an automated email to say the changes have been made and my monthly payments have gone up ?... The issue I have is the lack of communication/customer service. For a long time customer I would expect a phone call to say no problem changing the address but just so your aware the monthly payments will go up to X (making my renewal now almost 28% higher).
That payment could have been the difference between me renewing with them this year and using one of our other quotes from another company with a similar cover. I'm very disappointed. I was expecting possibly an admin fee (thinking that I was within the 14 days so I might have been lucky) but not the amount it's gone up to, especially with no communication to reflect the increase.
I also think that the preferred/recommended/main method of communication being email is still quite poor for an insurance company.

This company took nearly 700 hundred pounds out of my account when I applied for cover , I received no paperwork etc and when I contacted them they said something went wrong and asked if I would pay again... after me pointing out they had already taken my money they said " oh sorry we will try and sort this ASAP " ...2 days later and no response to email since then . At this point they are either incompetant or scammers and I would advise avoiding them .
