Its location is ideal, close enough to Oakham and Rutland Water, but far enough away to feel you are far from the madding crowd. A 15 minute walk to Oakham or a 15 minute cycle ride to the edge of Rutland Water.
The cottage itself sits in a secluded courtyard with undercover parking. The courtyard is gated and can be made secure for children or pets. The interior has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and comprises a large living kitchen, a King size bedroom with en-suite, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom.
The owners have kindly supplied everything that you could possibly need, all the expected items such as towels, hairdryer etc. and the unexpected......milk/bowl of fruit/ketchup and much more, it really is a home from home.
I really cannot recommend this retreat enough, we often take weekends away and this is the best we have stayed in.
