At 2.55pm I took my wife and two friends to the cafe for coffee and noticed the sign for 2 for 1cream and Jam scones served from 2pm, so I asked the lady for four cream and jam scones and 4 latte coffees. She told me that they had run out of the cream and jam scones. Her tone told me that really she couldn't be bothered to do them. I bought 4 scones and jam and 4 latte coffees. I asked the lady if there were any knives available , to which I was told to try at the other counter! Not really impressed with the customer service in the cafe and definitely will not be recommending it to anyone else. Modt of the tables were full of used dishes and only 1 lady trying her best to clear them. Very disappointed with Dobbies cafe

Great gardening centre. I would not recommend the restaurant/ cafe anything other than a hot drink, which is a shame really. We must have gone on a day where they under staffed because the overall service in the restaurant was very poor. The queues were so long and barely moving as not enough staff to serve the customers. All the available tables were dirty and full of used plates cups etc. Unfortunately there was only one staff cleaning up and bless her she was very very slow, might have been tired or not feeling 100% on the day, or fed up as her seemed to expression imply to us. I won't comment on the food we ordered other than to say mine was fish and chips. I tasted both and and that's all I did. I could not eat it because it was saggy and awful, so left a full plate of food. What a waste of food, money and time queuing. The latte was nice though. Bought loads of plants at a great price. No complaints there. Check it out, but eat before you go or bring your own to avoid disappointment!!
