De Rodes Arms Chesterfield

This will be the only time I hope to De Rodes pub. The wait for the food was nearly 1 hour, even though they weren't very busy. My wife ordered a vegetarian supreme pizza to be told they didn't have half of the ingredients. The chips were burnt and cold, and staff were virtually non-existent and never asked if our food was OK. I am very disappointed and will not be returning in the future

Great food and carvery. Really enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere. Only allowed 1hr to eat but nothing stopping you I guess going into main pub and continuing your drinks in there once your time is up. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Myself and my wife came away for the weekend and stayed at the van Dyk, which is down the road from this pub. Overall our experience at the hotel was disappointing so we decided to take a trip out to the stonehouse for a bite to eat and a few drinks. From the moment we entered the service was beyond exceptional. We were made to feel at home and one of the locals Morgan, the kitchen manager truly went above and beyond and he is a credit to your company. He is a smashing lad. Shanara and calista were both lovely and also made us feel incredibly welcome. All 3 deserve to be recognised. We arent local, but I would be fully prepared to travel back just for service like the kind of service we received.
