From long delays in the building of our property, to the lack of communication in the delays (leading to very expensive hotels needed to bridge the gap in moving in), Avant have continuously been an awful company to deal with. It says a lot about a company when they have a high turn over of sales and support teams. We had 4 different sales contacts, each having less and less experience and understanding of the company and its processes. After sales support is non existent for us. Despite having 183 major snags (including a hole 40cm in the roof - only found because I am a drone pilot and took a camera onto the roof). Other snags include poorly installed flooring which bows 2cm in paces around the rooms, sockets not installed correctly with wires visible around the kitchen sink, guttering which angles away from the down pipe, and bathroom installations where the units arent installed or proofed correctly (including badly installed flooring). Despite following their complaints process, they have failed to follow their own guidance and have not yet (currently 6 months in) replied with a plan to rectify the issues - roof being a major one). The quality of the build is just enough in most parts to pass inspection, I dont know how the roof passed. Walls out of square by 2-5 degrees, surface finishes with just a prime coat of paint and kitchens so badly designed and produced and using cheap parts, that the handles cut your fingers when using them (I smoothed them myself with abrasive paper, and on snagging day the actual lead builder and the snagging team wanted to know how Id done it to apply to the other kitchens on the estate! - a widely known issue!)
