Recently joined the surgery and the initial service was appalling with receptionists failing to acknowledge the presence of patients waiting . I have been trying to ring for the past 1hr 10 mins today and on hold since position 10 and the phone is ringing for the past 10 mins from position 3 with no answer .I am a healthcare professional myself , I would like this surgery to be investigated for complete lack of patient care . I am currently pregnant and wanting to get a prescription request from a Dr as per hospital referral but you have people like this not interested in the career path they choose for themselves. CQC and ombudsman will be informed formally of such poor practice .

You can never ever get an appointment, and are forced to join a queue on the phone from 8am to try ! they tell you they are so incredibly busy and booked up with appointments, that they will have to send you to Ashgate Hub which is miles away ! Yet whenever I have been to the practice at various times of the day, I have never seen another patient in the very large waiting room, its always totally empty !!! What an easy life they must have not having to bother seeing patients and closing at 4pm 2 of the 5 days they open

I have recently joined this surgery from moving from Manchester , from day one the staff at the practice ( receptionists, nurses and doctors) have been so helpful and efficient there is nothing to much trouble for them , I am utterly amazed at how different things are here compared to my previous surgery and felt compelled to praise staff that are sometimes all to little forgotten!! 10/10 guys
