They are always very busy and some doctors are incredibly slow. You will be waiting over an hour at times. The female doctors are much more efficient but it so difficult to get an on the day appointment with them. The reception has been recently refurbished which was much needed but last I went it seemed incomplete as no proper reception desk. Rest of the building could do with a refurb too. Previously I have seen conversations which should be private between reception and patients are loudly spoken about. I have seen some (not all) receptionists speak rather rudely to vulnerable patients before such as those where English isn't there first language. I haven't personally experienced this myself but as I say I have seen it on multiple occasions. Reception staff are the first people you see when you enter the premises so they need to be friendly and approachable especially as they are dealing with sick and vulnerable people. I usually get spoken to nicely please note. The phone lines have somewhat improved. Although you do still remain unanswered at times when whilst on hold they have probably closed there offices. Would be ideal to just have a message saying our office is closed. The phone lines needs to always be put through to a queue which for some reason isn't always the case and sometimes will ring out or send you to voicemail.
