If you are people of colour, please don`t work here as a nurse. Nightmare with staff and management.

This really is a great place of work. Its very professional and organised. I worked there for years on and off because of maternity. The manager Emma I found her personally very understanding and reasonable. I have worked in different places but u have to say this was the best place I've ever worked. Theres great teamwork and you have job satisfaction that you have made a difference in the service users life. What's also great about this place is that you have about 3 weeks training, fully m equipping you before you join the team so you don't feel like you're being thrown in the deepend. Another thing I hoped to have taken advantage of is that there are so many training opportunities for your Nursing while still receiving your full Salary. If you don't meet the requirements Cedar house will support you in getting the necessary requirements you need to reach your goal. What I have found and known about Cedar House is that once you join the team somehow you become family. The hours are also very flexible, theres great support for pregnant women aswell they get to be moved to other duties that are safer throughout the course of their work before going on maternity leave. Another fun fact about Cedar house, many relationships & great friendships have blossomed from there . I really wish I could express the great work & dedication that the staff do for the service users everyday at Cedar house. The management and all the ideas and improvements they have done in this place is amazing and I saw the difference it made to the entire hospital setting. I will also never forget the kitchen staff they are all so hard working, talented and caring (The most amazing people ive ever met) I have seen the difference it has made to many of the service users. I rarely do reviews but I feel strongly that this place does not receive enough credit for all their hardwork. Overall this is a great place to work and filled with so much support and opportunities.

This place is a nightmare to live next to. Firstly they have people staying in the closest building to the front who blast music and their tv programmes out the window at 2-3 AM. Secondly, on request of turning it down, you have to go round to reception to ask and they do nothing over phone. On the 30th August there is music blasting out of the whole place and I tried to call for them to turn it down due to someone trying to sleep next door but nothing was done. Staff constantly smoke and leave their cigarettes and rubbish. Theyre very unpleasant too.
