I cannot recommend Mark and his assistant enough. My old boiler broke down and needed replacing when my partner was in hospital and it was very cold. Mark went out of his way to make sure it was fitted and working before my partner came home. Mark is very helpful, respectful, efficient and reasonably priced. Thank you very much Mark and Team.

I woke up at this morning to noise coming from my lounge. As I live alone I threw on some clothes expecting to fight off burglars. It was Mark Thaw and co, who had the audacity to let themselves into my home to do a Gas Safety Check without my permission! Weeks earlier I had arranged with Thaw Out Heating to come in the afternoon as I would be able to let them in, as I work nights. However despite them knowing this my Landlord gave them my key. Bad enough as that was without my permission, these guys didn't knock loud, and didn't even bother to phone me, to ask if they could enter. They just walked right in with dirty shoes and acted unapologetic when confronted. Under duress I allowed them to complete the Gas Safety Check. After about 10 mins they finished, with Mark giving me 2 readouts but No certificate. I asked for the key back as I didn't what these guys with my door key but Mark refused. I asked for both of there names but his mate refused to give his name too. After they left I reported this to the landlord who was apologetic yet the damage had already been done. I'm a Man, imagine if this was a young woman confronted with these guys? Its absurd!!! I've also got a missing SSD drive after the incident that will cost me hundreds :( BEWARE THAW OUT HEATING!!!!!!!! And pray they don't have a key to your home.

We needed to rip up some of our wooden floor and dig into the concrete underneath to get rid of ugly pipes that were going around the walls over the skirting board. Afterwards he was to install several new cast iron radiators. This was difficult, messy, heavy work in an ex-council flat that was being renovated to a modern standard. Mark was great at understanding the problem and communicating how things were going and what needed to be done. They completed the work to an excellent standard. A few weeks later we needed some emergency work done to enable our new kitchen to be installed. We learned that the existing kitchen waste pipe was too high and not sloped (causing blockages). We needed a new, lower waste pipe installed through the kitchen wall into behind our toilet which needed to be pulled out. They were able to do it quickly and an excellent standard (a tough job) allowing us to have our kitchen installed. I don't think there is any plumbing/heating job they can't handle to an excellent standard.

I had a leak in the pipework near my boiler and following Mark's visit, it was decided that a replacement would be the most cost-effective solution. The quote Thaw Out sent was quick, efficient and competitive. Mark and his colleague replaced the existing combination boiler with a new Vaillant combination boiler. The job took two days. They arrived exactly when they said they would and left the place neat and tidy when they left. The system was flushed and there have been no issues since - just a lovely warm house!
