Love Cottage

The dirt. The heaps of dead flies. There were 100's of living flies buzzing around, it were that noisy, we never slept! We had to leave early due to the number of flies and the dirt. I've never stayed anywhere so dirty and I've travelled all over the world! Most of the lighting in the property doesn't work. The TV doesn't work. When I called the property to let them know about the fly problem and dirt, I just got an answer of " well, what do you want me to do about it!" And then went on to say that I had to go down to the coop to buy ourselves some fly spray! And they also told us that they couldn't do anything as they were 50 odd miles away, yet they turned up at the cottage apparently within hour an hour whilst we went out trying to find somewhere else to stay. The host also raised his voice at me too when I asked what we could do about the situation, which was very unprofessional. I tried to get some money back, but the owners kept ignoring our messages! I really wouldn't of stopped here if I'd known it was going to be that bad, so please do not book here, you'll be really disappointed!

My wife and I stayed at the cottage for 2 nights, we absolutely loved it. The location is ideal for a quiet relaxing break. The views and surrounding area is simply stunning. Gargrave is just 2 miles down the road and offers some great local pubs / restaurants. The cottage itself is full of charm and if perfect for a couple. We will defiantly be booking again.
