        Visiting Bampton was on our Wishlist, being Downton Abbey fans. The staff were SO lovely! Found some great souvenirs to take home. They have a great pamphlet with The Downton Mile a walking tour map of the Downton Abbey filming spots, worth its money, go get it before you walk through the village. Toilets there too.

        Great spot to let the kids out, they are letting children search for mice to win a piece of chocolate today. As well as the Library it hosts the Vesey Room commemorating the legacy of the funder of the Grammar School. And the Lewington room upstairs.

        Was closed for cleaning but the staff/volunteers let us take a look at the great renovation work upstairs where you have great garden views and the Downton Abbey Memorabilia. Really wonderful and kind people!
