Castle Grove

Castle Grove and all their current staff looked after my Nan (Minnie) like she was a family member, Minnie was treated with respect every step of the way and her wishes were always respected right up until the end of her life. Not only though was Minnie looked after but so were we, the family. Our family have nothing but respect for all who work there, the Chef does a fantastic job of cooking up a wonderful variety of dishes and would cater for Minnie's needs if she fancied something different. Wonderful staff, wonderful setting and wonderful new friendships made over the last year. Thank you all so much. Ian & Pauline.

The kindness and care shown to my mother is exemplary. All the staff including office, nursing, activity and general maintenance team show their willingness in all circumstances. Mum loves the food there too and is given a choice of menus daily plus the bonus of a chef who cooks special meals for birthdays and other occasions which makes all the residents feel truly cared for. Pets are welcome and this is of special relevance to those including my mother who relish their company.

Castle Grove is absolutely first class. Everyday I appreciate the whole Castle Grove family and how every member of the team work together to provide a superb level of care for my Mum. 24 hours a day, Mum is being supported with the utmost integrity and respect. Her meals are delicious, imaginative and varied with local produce and high standards of service. Daily activities are thoughtfully organised with art, music, visiting drama and speakers all making Mum's day positive and enjoyable. Mum has choices and her independence is respected. The nursing care is totally professional and supports Mum's physical and mental Wellbeing. The team listen to Mum and there is always two way and open communication. Castle Grove is set in beautiful, well kept grounds and near to a very busy village with all amenities. Every time I visit Mum I get a warm, genuine welcome and feel we are also part of the Wonderful Castle Grove family. I would recommend Castle Grove highly and feel extremely fortunate that my Mum is living in such a caring environment.

Our Grandma has happily been living at Castle Grove for over 2 years now and it is always a positive experience going to visit her. The surroundings are just like a home with a wonderful garden full of flowers and very big and warm conservatory. As Grandchildren, we are always welcome and Castle Grove even puts on events for all the families to attend. Grandma is looked after brilliantly and I can tell all the staff really do love and care about her. Grandma is in the safest and kindest of places to enjoy life. There is always something going on and Grandma loves all the shows, visitors and the great art and craft activities. Thank you so much for all the time and care you give to my Grandma.

Although our mother was reluctant to give up her home and independence and come and live at Castle Grove, the kindness and care from all the staff has enabled her to accept that she is now in the best place for her limited mobility. All efforts are made for when family members visit, which goes a long way to helping our mother feel that she is entertaining in her own home. The food is excellent - all homemade and sherry is offered before lunch and dinner.
