An outstanding property, the attention to detail will blow you away. Nothing has been overlooked in what has been provided in this lodge. The location is perfect to be close enough to everything the Northumberland coast offers yet tucked away enough to give you great peace and quite and an ideal coastal bolt hole. The natural shelter provided by the quarry is perfect, make sure you take the trip up through the woodland path to the observation point where the view is breathtaking (try it in the evening and build a fire in the fire pit provided. It really is stunning and worth the effort.) The lodge may get a little hot on sunny days as the floor to ceiling windows do really heat the place up, just remember to manage it and keep the lodge ventilated. Bamburgh has just been awarded the number 1 coastal village in the UK, be sure to explore what it has to offer, make a reservation at the amazing Potted Lobster and experience a morning stroll on Bamburgh beach with a coffee from the Bamburgh Hut located in the beach car park down the Wynding (trust me you will not find a better view or beach in the UK and you will quickly see why its been voted number 1) If your a golfer, dont forget your clubs, Bamburgh golf club is a real experience and a great way to see the coastline views, the area is surrounded by fantastic golf courses. Make sure to drive along the coast to Seahouses where things are a little busier and you can take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, to meet some the amazing wildlife you will be sharing the coast with (keep and eye out for the friendly Dolphins..) The area really is an all year round location as its equally enjoyable on sunny summer days as it is on a brisk winter morning, if its sitting outside enjoying dinner on the decking or watching TV with a log fire this lodge really does provide everything. We had a truly brilliant time at Willowherd lodge, didnt want to leave and will be back at the earliest opportunity.

A fantastic lodge, one of the best we have stayed at. It's modern design and brilliant views will leave you feeling very relaxed. It is in a remote location, it's so quiet often the only thing you hear is the birds singing amid the surrounding quarry. The stunning bamburgh beach is just a five minute drive away. The small touches make a difference, the freshly ground coffee, the welcome basket and the bath robes give us a feeling of luxury. We hope to be back!
