Friendly welcoming hosts. Homely feel, nothing too much trouble. Welcoming pot of tea by open fire in lovely guest lounge on our arrival. Comfortable spacious rooms. Beautiful bed and furnishings, country house style. Fabulous food. Best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. Short walk onto beautiful wide sweeping sandy beach. Walked to Bamburgh along the beach from the Hall.

Budle Hall was the most relaxing environment for our stay in Bamburgh. We were met with a very warm welcome by Ralph. Our room (The YellowRoom) was bright, immaculately clean and large with fabulous views and a super walk in shower. Plenty of hot water. The most comfortable super king size bed with luxurious cotton linens. We were served afternoon tea and homemade cake in the sitting room. Celia served us a delicious breakfast to order. Tasty homemade bread and perfectly cooked poached eggs. She gave us helpful info for our day out to Holy Island and greeted us on our return with more tea and cake. The history of the house is fascinating not least that Ralphs grandfather owned it for some time and as a Naval Captain in WW2 had captured a submarine with current Enigma code books which proved pivotal in our war effort. We highly recommend a stay here as it is firstly a wonderful B&B but secondly somewhere a little different to enjoy.
