I am writing this on behalf of my dad, He took his dog to downtown woof a few times now. Keira who has groomed him is so professional, keeps him calm, talks to him like his her best friend (lol) and does a fantastic job. I am so happy with the outcome, that's why I give it a full five stars if I could I would give it a ten. Thank you Keira.

I am writing this as an ex-employee of the business. I would not usually write reviews like this. However I think customers of this business deserve to know what actually happens. As someone who has worked in the animal industry for many years, the 3 months I worked here, completely and utterly broke my heart for the dogs, and shocked to see the state in which the owner allowed the dogs of paying customers to be in, whilst in his care. The dog "daycare": the dogs are divided between 3 small rooms, just enough so they don't fight with each other, there is nothing in the rooms apart from a few rope toys covered in wee and plastic beds. They would usually stay in that room until they were picked up, or on the rare occasion taken for a walk. The owner claims they get taken for 2 walks a day and have multiple toilet breaks. However this was very rarely the case. I did my best as a solo person to get the dogs out as much as I could, but was not allowed to leave the front of the shop. There is very little mental or physic stimulation for the dogs, other than being in a dirty room with the other dogs. Now my experience as an employee: Again I worked at the company for nearly 3 very stressful months, I didn't once get given my contact and was thrown into the role of "supervisor" running the business, staff (hiring) and dogs with zero training or support. I eventually left and had a message from the owner stating that had gone into liquidation when my pay didnt come through, back in Easter. I am still owed over 2000 in unpaid hours that I worked, not including the sheer amount of overtime I accumulated. The amount of stress that was endured during this time period was honestly harrowing, let alone seeing blatant animal neglect right infront of my eyes, which I had very little power over to do very much. The only decent thing about this place was the grooming, even then the room was coated in mould and had zero care into the building or conditions the staff and dogs were in. Thanks for reading if you got this far, and my sincerest appologies if your dogs has experienced this place.
