Astley Hall

We would like to commend Astley Hall Nursing Home for the excellent care they afforded to my mother Connie Jones during her seven month stay. The care staff were always professional and caring to mum, and because we were not able to visit her during the pandemic, the carers became her family. Losing mum has been an unexpected and devastating blow, but the staff supported my wife and I when visiting mum at the end. And it meant a huge amount to us to know that as the end drew near, despite being in the middle of the night, mum was not left alone, but had Jane and her carers at her bedside. We will be eternally grateful for that. Thank you to Matthew the manager and the whole team at Astley Hall for giving mum a high level of professional care and for keeping her smile alive for seven months. We knew she was happy and well cared for at all times. Thank you again. Mark Jones - son.

Our mum was with astley hall for about 5 months and they were the best 5 months we could have hoped for, we wished she could have had more time. The staff are Angel's and took excellent care of mum. She was in safe hands. Lots of activities and interaction. Relatives welcome any time of day or night. We were always kept up to date about mum. Thank you astley hall staff. You do wonderful work.

Two months ago, we needed to move Mum who has dementia from her care home to a nursing home after she fell and broke her hip. We were concerned about moving her, however, despite her being angry and unco -operative for the first couple of weeks, the staff were very patient with her and soon encouraged her to join in with activities. She is now a different person. Although her room is a little shabby, the standard of care is excellent, the staff are fabulous and the activity co-ordinators outstanding. We would highly recommend Astley Hall.
