The Bakewell Tart Shop

A lovely little shop on the main high street that sells fresh local produce. It's packed with pies, sausage rolls, cakes, buns, tarts and of course the famous Bakewell tart. There is a eating area at the back of the shop with toilets and gets very busy most days, especially on market day and the weekend. It can get quite crowded when people are queueing for the caf and when ordering from the counter to take away. Everything is spot on and tastes great and there is a table with two chairs at the front of the shop. It's ideally to come early or later on as you have a better chance of getting a seat but I suppose it depends on the weather and at what time you come. Well worth a visit as we always call in when having a look round the town.

It's located in the centre of Bakewell and quite close to the Bakewell Bridge. It offers various assortment of Bakewell Tarts and Puddings, range of pies, cakes, and local jams. Staff is friendly and accommodating. However it's not spacious enough to accommodate more people for seating in. Tables and chairs are quite close and congested. Toilet facilities are well maintained but again cramped. Price wise it's quite expensive especially pies. Overall it's a good place but definitely it needs to lower down their prices and provide an inviting environment for people to sit in.

Good prices and probably the best scones Ive ever had! Definitely worth a visit if youre ever in Bakewell! The staff are helpful and very friendly!

Good choice of options including vegetarian options. Homity pie is excellent.
