This company is simple excellent, we couldn't recommend them more. All the staff were really helpful, responsive and flexible. David was amazing, his telephone call chat through explained everything, very straightforward and happy to answer questions and follow ups. Their Report was clear, detailed with simple to follow advice for next steps on purchasing the house. If you need a surveyor report I completely recommend this firm, they made a stressful process much easier, certainly very happy we chose them.

Terrible company, surveyed my house for the buyer and the report was full of lies saying the garage needed ripping down and windows replacing when there was nothing wrong with them. The buyer ended up pulling out after 6 months of the sale proceeding. Rung up to see the report and they werent helpful at all.

We engaged Hornes to complete a building survey during a recent house purchase in Ilkley. Sadly the state of the house was somewhat unloved so we believed this was the best option. The attention to detail of the survey and the subsequent follow up, both written and over the phone explanation, were quite simply outstanding in every respect. Absolutely stellar work by Hornes Surveyors and David. I cant recommend them enough! David walked us through the entire survey process beforehand and was available for follow up after completion of the survey. He even went the extra mile in recommending companies to carry out the work! If you are considering buying an older or unique property, Hornes surveyors is especially useful as they have the experience and network to both examine and recommend work and repairs. For us they sorted out a tough situation very easily, and even made us feel listened to and rest assured we were making a smart purchase.
