We had lunch with some friends and it was delicious. Good, attentive service and lovely surroundings. You should put a sign for the car park on the front of the building with an arrow as we didn't realise the car park was there. We didn't stay at the hotel.

Sunday lunch for five of us. They were slightly slow taking our order, but the service after that was fine, my daughter and I had the pork and black pudding scotch egg as a starter. No sausage meat in this one. A perfect soft boiled egg in the middle surrounded by a pulled pork and black pudding case with the expected bread crumb surrounding. The best scotch egg I've ever had. The other starters looked good too. As it was Sunday, I chose the triple roast dinner. A large slice of slow roasted belly with incredibly crisp crackling and disappointingly only one slice of beef. My piece of chicken breast was accidentally omitted but was brought very quickly when this was pointed out. In their defence, it was very busy and the large car park was full. All enjoyed our meals. We were last to leave and I noticed all tables were soaking wet as they had been washed down and left to dry. A good lunchtime experience.
