AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 1 star is far too high of a rating for this business and its owner. You will be reported to Trading Standards and I hope that they shut you down. I brought in an Xbox One controller to this pathetic excuse of a man who said that he could repair my device. I had an issue with the RB button; it would press down but nothing would happen on the screen. I told Ibrihim (whether that's even his real name remains to be seen). So anyway, he told me that he could fix the issue. I brought my controller into this place the next day. He started to fiddle around with it then I left. (For whatever reason) I didn't trust him, so I went back and asked if I could stay and see his methods of repair, which he allowed me to do. At this point, he was being polite and showing me where the damage was for the button, he then went about cleaning it. He used this heavy duty spray, wiped and cleaned it then put it back together. However, once he put it back together, the controller did not turn on WHEN IT WAS WORKING BEFORE! I was furious, because he had essentially amplified the existing problem and created an entirely new issue. He then tried to flip it by saying that he should have tested the controller to see if it worked before he initially took it apart - instead of taking responsibility for his ineptitude, he tried to deceive me. By this time I had to go to work, he told me to leave it with him, and said that he'd take it home, fix it, and bring it back tomorrow ready for collection. I came back the next day, he told me that he had FIXED IT, but that the light didn't work. I paid 10 for this so-called service. Later that day, I tested it to see if it worked - IT DID NOT! So he lied to me on two occasions, both times claiming that it was fixed. I went back the next day and addressed his failure to justify taking my money. I told him that in addition to not fixing the problem, he had completely broken my controller. I then demanded compensation on top of the 10 that he had charged me. He gave me the 10 back (which was the least that he could do), but was unwilling to compensate me because I couldn't prove that it was his fault! Completely unprofessional, passing the buck and taking no responsibility for the damage that he had caused. His behaviour was incredibly provocative and passive aggressive. After a heated exchange, suddenly he knew "somebody that definitely could fix the controller", and he told me that it would be ready in a few days time. Stupidly, I gave him another chance. Skip forward a week, when the controller was apparently fixed and ready to be picked up at 2pm. I arrive at the shop shortly after 2pm. The owner is not in - the coward didn't even have the audacity to be there in person. However, his nephew was running the shop. His nephew calls him, and they speak on the phone for a minute or so. The guy passes me the controller and instructs me to go home and try it, no need to pay him for "fixing it". IMMEDIATELY I KNEW THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. He then said that the batteries are dead when I tried to turn it on. I then went into the Barbers next door, and the owner very kindly let me borrow a pair of brand new batteries straight out of the packet. I tested the controller, and predictably enough it did not turn on. I then went back into the shop furious because the owner and nephew had lied to me - again. I demanded that the nephew call his uncle and let me speak to him. I told him to come to the shop, but being a coward, he refused. I said that I wouldn't leave until he arrived, so he threatened me with police action. At this point, the interaction felt less like customer service and more like pure antagonism. Nothing was going to be resolved, so I left the shop with my controller. Furious. For the record, any phone repairs that this business does are performed by a ten year-old child. This business cannot possibly hope to last long if this is its idea of good customer service.
