Eastgate Eyes

Excellent service from start to finish, Sophie was excellent and made the choosing of new glasses a great experience, she explained everything and even sorted out a second pair of glasses for computer work. Would highly recommend Eastgate Eyes for there knowledge and great customer service. Well done and thank you.

great service shame they are closing, had letter last month to make test appointment so made one , then get strange phone call 08/03/2022 from them to cancel it to say they closing eastgate eyes permanently due to staff issues. yet their website is still up & running.

Went yesterday, someone was covering and told me the charge for contact lense after care was 35.00. I queried this and they went to check. Meanwhile card machine not working so I had to go into the local shop and withdraw cash. Came back to pay and was told it was 20.00. Receive a phone call today from the rudest possible person who I believe from calling the shop is a director?!! telling me it should have been 35.00 despite it only being a 5 minute lense check and that I could call other opticians and they are charging the same. Went to give them card details and got as far as the 16 digit number and they hung up on me! She hasnt called back and I wont be using them again.

Amazing every time I go - all the staff are so lovely and Sophie on reception is incredibly helpful. I was rather indecisive as to which frames I wanted the last time I was there and she was so patient with helping me choose a pair. I've worn glasses all my life so been to many an opticians but since going to eastgate, I haven't wanted to go anywhere else! I highly recommend them.
