Over priced for what it was. I wouldn't say it was a terrible stay however they missed out on a lot of the smaller details which was disappointing. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and only 1 small bottle of water with 2 glasses despite there being 2 of us. The carpet on the stairs leading up to the rooms clearly needs replacing as it's filthy and smells musky. On the flip side the bed was very comfortable and the room clean. The breakfast was beautiful however there were no GF or Vegan options. It was self service for the tea, there was just 1 teaspoon which was clearly used by everyone and bundles of used tea bags right next to where you prepared your hot drink. The fruit was not fresh and didn't look appetising. The milk in the jug was warm. There was no option for self service toast but there were pots of jams out? I think this place has a lot of potential if they just took extra care with the finer details but in the meantime I'd say it's overpriced and probably wouldn't stay again. If the price of the room reflected the overall stay then I'd have given more stars but realistically for 90 pn I expected a lot more attention to detail and service.

Pleasantly surprised! Was not expecting much as the outside looks a bit shoddy. The rooms have been refurbished and we're very nice. The breakfast was amazing and the lovely lady went out of her way and cooked it herself as our son has coeliac, to make sure that there was no cross contamination. The only thing with our room, it hadn't been cleaned and everything was covered in dust. Shame as it is something so simple to clean the rooms.

NEVER EAT HERE. I had a table booked for 6 people on Mothers Day at 1pm. When we turned up (on time), they were aware of the booking but had made no effort to put a table together, and we had to wait while they did this. We all ordered a roast dinner, and the waitresses were almost apologetic when they brought the tiny portions out. The Yorkshire puddings were completely flat, and almost impossible to cut with a steak knife. Eventually we asked to speak to a manager, who acknowledged there was a problem but wouldn't go into details as to what it was. It would have been easier to close the kitchen than to serve that attrocious food. We paid a contribution towards the bill (as agreed with the manager), left without out free desserts and went home sorely disappointed. Will never eat here again. The staff are lovely, and couldn't have been more helpful, but the food was embarrassing. The chef should be fired immediately
