okay, this is epic
We had a fantastic experience here. The setting is gorgeous, if a little difficult to find (perhaps a sign or two would help direct visitor through the farm complex). Thomas was a wonderful host; extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about the rich cultural history of mead, and it's manufacture. And then of course the samples that we tried were all brilliant in quite different ways, from the dry and aromatic elderflower infusion to the rich and sweet Roman style dessert mead, there was something for everyone's palate. Icing on the cake was being able to make a bottle of our own mead, which I am very much looking forward to drinking when it's ready. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking to learn about this fascinating drink!

My girlfriend booked this as a belated birthday present, and I couldn't be more happy! Thomas was an excellent host, the meads were amazing and delicious, and the whole experience was great. The setting was idyllic, the goats and chickens just added to the atmosphere. It just needs some better signage so people can find it easier! Excellent value for money and a great afternoon. Get a taxi! Do not drive if you want to make the most of it!

We attended a mead making class today and haven't stopped raving about it since. Thomas was welcoming, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and his passion for the craft of making mead came across throughout our afternoon with him. Over the afternoon we learned about the history and science of mead, tried a huge variety of meads (each with their own story), and even had the opportunity to make our own wild yeast starter, some rosemary infused smoked honey, and a bottle of mead each to take home! I can't possibly praise the experience enough - thoroughly recommended to anyone looking for something a little different (and absolutely delicious) to do with their afternoon :)
