What an amazing place this is! If we could, we would score it not even 11, but 20. Sara and James are terrific hosts, so friendly and helpful; nothing is ever too much trouble. There was an issue with our booking and they handled it extremely well. Customer service at its finest. The Old Art Studio is a fully self-contained accommodation, with a separate entrance and parking space. Inside, youll find a nice and cosy open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge/sleeping space with a brand new en-suite bathroom with a huge shower and underfloor heating. Everything was sparkling clean and it all felt very Covid-safe. The room, overlooking the garden, is bright and spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Theres a fully fitted kitchen annexe with a combi oven, double electric hob, mini fridge and all the crockery and utensils you may need. Youll also find a small dining table for four, a large and cosy sofa and very comfortable beds. But the absolute highlight is the fireplace (logs provided) you can enjoy in the evening. The location is perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast (Lyme Regis is only 15 mins drive away), but there are nice local walks in the area as well. Its peaceful and quiet, great for birdwatching and stargazing from the little bench in the garden. We loved absolutely everything about our stay and would be nothing but happy to visit again. Ps. Ask the hosts about the former owner of the Studio and the look for telltale signs inside ;)
