Upon arriving at Valley View things looked promising. There was a flash electric gate, a nice gravel driveway and a new looking toilet block. Unfortunately our first impressions were utterly incorrect. The toilet block was not cleaned properly for the whole of our stay. The shower cubicle floors were dirty and full of hair and sand. One of the cold taps didn't work, the toilet seats were broken and there was a questionable mark on one of the toilet doors that was not wiped for the whole week. The toilets constantly run out of loo roll too.We knew before arriving that we had to pay for the showers, this was not a problem. The shower heads were so full of limescale that showering was virtually impossible. The floors were also filthy dirty. We messaged the owner to ask when the toilets would be cleaned as we were worried about covid, the campsite was extremely busy. We were told that the toilets were cleaned daily at 5pm... I understand that camping is a cheap holiday but I've never stayed at a campsite with such a low disregard for cleanliness. This is particularly worrying during our current climate.
