We have used Herschel for multiple projects and had plans in the pipeline to continue to use them within further developments. Due to poor customer service and failure of the company to stand over their products we are forced to look elsewhere.

Thermostat Fire Hazard. The thermostat I was using got so hot it melted parts of the unit. I raised fire safety concerns with Herschel who told me a battery thermostat could not cause a fire. I had it looked at by an engineer who told me anything that gets hot enough to melt plastic and burn could absolutely cause a fire, especially as it was used as a free standing unit on carpeted floor or fabric sofa. Herschel eventually agreed to look at it but unfortunately when I sent it to them it was lost. I do have footage of the unit melting and burning which I will send to Trading Standards as I would hate this to happen to someone else and the outcome be far more serious.

My husband has been wanting to heat the patio in our garden for years, it gets very little sun in the daytime and gets even colder at night, but I thought at the time all garden heaters were pretty ugly looking, I'd not seen any that I wanted to put in my garden. Eventually I stumbled across Herschel, and ended up buying a couple of the Gold California heater, I just thought they looked really pretty and actually added something to my garden. Since it's been installed I couldn't be more impressed. The quality of the heater is so good and does exactly what we wanted, and it looks amazing! When I rang up to speak to someone initially about wanting to buy a heater, they were so informative and helpful, they really know their stuff, I was actually quite surprised at how well! I really can't stress enough how happy I am, we've all had a difficult 18 months so for everything to go so smoothly and receive such genuine customer service was really valuable. And now we don't have a cold patio anymore! Well done to Herschel and thank you! Will definitely come to you if I need another heater in the future.
