    Walked a short distance along here as part of a circular walk. Good views, easy walking.

    The first section is open chalk downland redolent with the relics of the past at Avebury and the numerous earthworks . Then the section of Thames and its lush water meadows . Then upwards through the more intimate landscape of chiltern beechwoods.
