Bak-Rak Ltd

Customer service is shocking. They sent the first order to the wrong address! Despite me telling them they had the wrong address I was just paid lip service - it cant possibly be our computer system. Well guess what? It was! The second order was promised but is yet to arrive. This all 4 weeks after placing the order.

Good luck getting anything sent to you. All I got was promises. They did refund though - lesson learned.

Great product, opted for bak-rak because it seems more versatile than offerings from thule etc. and has a higher weight rating meaning the only limiting factor is the nose weight of my towbar. I wanted to use it to take luggage away while using all 7 seats in a car that has virtually no boot once all seats are in use and it did the job perfectly. Parcel wrapped 3 large cases to protected from elements and strapped to the bak-rak with 3 heavy duty ratchet straps and 3 smaller straps, cases never moved and handled the 4 hour journey even on twisty stuff perfectly. One thing I would say is bak-rak are a small company so don't expect quick delivery, from other reviews I was aware it could be an issue so ordered in plenty of time before I needed it. Think overall it was around 3-4 weeks between purchase and receipt but glad I stuck with it.

What a great product. Nothing bad can be said about a solid well engineered, time saving and space saving product. Pete was more then happy to answer any question about the product and once I bought it was fitted on my car 3 days later. About 3min to install. Amazing amazing

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY EVER They advertise next day delivery i ordered a canoe rak on the 9th August and its now the 16th and still no delivery i phoned and some stressed bloke got stroppy and said they had too much on. Its not bak rak - you can't even contact them they hide behind a messaging service and don't reply to messages ever. They use another company to send their stuff out who are just as rubbish to get hold of and when you do they are just as unhelpful, they tell you they will send it the same day and then don't. I have no idea if the 300 worth of stuff i ordered is ever going to arrive. Well said item has arrived, ordered on the 9th arrived on the 18th not too bad for next day i guess. Well it gets worse, some plastic parts (tightening knobs) broken, zinc passivized parts drilled after coating (so will rust very quickly) instruction diagrams so poorly printed as to be unreadable. Some riv nuts are too proud and not compressed properly so box section wont fit. whole thing is too unstable on the tow bar to be safe when loaded with two canoes, i will be redesigning the whole thing and putting most of it in the bin where it belongs, a very expensive mistake. Of course no answer to contact with the them only the message service who will pass your message on and you never hear back. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T DO THE SAME READ THIS AND OTHER REVIEWS.
