Boar's Head

Booked well in advance for 12 on Saturday. When we arrived the table wasnt ready but was soon rectified. We ordered drinks which didnt arrive so had to remind the staff. However we had to wait in excess of an hour for food, when it arrived 3 meals were forgotten hence a longer wait. On a positive the food was nice and fresh and staff pleasant and apologetic. We saw customers arrive after us and served before us. We booked for 12 as wed had such a pleasant experience on our first visit, therefore will definitely visit again. Hoping this was just a blip.

What a lovely, cosy country pub! Greeted on the phone by a friendly, jolly, warm voice when booking a table and when we walked in, again the same jolly warm voice greeted us as well, didn't catch his name but had a funky hair cut! Food was lovely, the beer was cold what more can you ask for. When our host found out it was one of us's birthday he brought out a bunch of helium balloons which was a lovely touch! Highly recommend, 10/10!

Lovely staff and good food in a friendly "real English traditional pub" atmosphere fully met the needs of our Australian cousins. Highly recommended
