By the time we drove it home, the car was rattling and shaking. I told Richard about this and he said nonchalantly that this is just a case of adjusting the exhaust and itll be fine.
It wasnt fine. After going to two seperate garages for quotes, I found there was a very cheap pattern Fiat 500 exhaust on my Ford Ka
Both garages stressed to me that the exhaust Richard had supplied me with wasnt safe for long journeys.
As I bought the car under warranty, I tried countless times to get in touch with Richard and let him know that I was prepared to split the cost with him. As the car, prior to getting my new exhaust, was pretty much unusable.
Unfortunately Richard didnt have the decency to apologise or answer any of my (or my parents) calls, texts and voicemails. 322 later, I still have heard nothing from Richard.
I'm sure it's a great car as the paperwork shows, but this has left a bitter taste and I would not recommend Richard to anyone. Absolutely no after care and I've been blocked from calling.
I have been extremely patient and rational, even giving him the benefit of the doubt and asking if he's gone on holiday and whether there's a better time to call, but nothing.
To note, the exhaust isn't covered by the warranty. But I'd argue that, we drove the car home (less than 30 miles) and it was unusable, thus being unfit for purpose until I had to pay 322 to be able to drive it. Completely unreasonable.
