Great place and I was interested to understand the history of the house and estate. Informative staff as always who helped us to understand the characters involved in its development. Tea room was also nice with helpful and friendly staff. Grounds look interesting with walks you can do if you have time.

WE spent a Bank Holiday Monday here and we had a really good time. Never been before. Went around the house, gardens and further afield for a walk around the lakes and ponds. The house has an amazing collection of tapestries. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The cafe was really nice with good coffee and delicious cakes. A very good selection of food. Lots of places to picnic.

This national trust is the best place I have been by far, it has a good structure. 1 way in and 1 way out. This place is national trust and English Heritages. It is the biggest historical house I have been. Biggest historical house is for national trust and English Heritages is for ruins.
