Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy
We have been providing private neuro physiotherapy to a number of our patients staying at High Wray on and off for a number of years. There is always a lovely welcoming feel from the team and management, nothing is ever too much trouble!

Very poor experience here regarding my fathers stay. Some of the staff are lazy, arrogant and rude especially couple of senior male and female carers. They lack knowledge about following correct procedures examples being not informing family when my father had falls only finding out when came in and not being allowed to see care plan when asked for it and had to educate them could see it anytime being next of kin maybe it had been updated. The manager and owner lack any empathy and rapport , ineffective, not supportive, condescending and not receptive to feedback when challenged over standards of care for my father. On the last day the owner sent decorator into his room while we were all still there how terrible is that obviously having money come in is a more important priority even though the motto on sign at front states where caring counts yeah right. The home is dated, lacks engagement, with basic food and drink and activities are very repetitive. He has now moved to another care home with excellent choice of meals and drinks throughout the day, better interaction and good communication with staff and management.

I visited this care home numerous times and thought the management and some staff to be rude and didnt like to answer some questions that were asked, I thought at times it was smelly, and on more than one occasion I witnessed beds made up even though they had soiled sheets on ( management was informed). At times their wasnt enough staff and the staff that were there not only had to care for residents but had to do the cleaning and laundry also. I have seen some reviews on another site which I question the legitimacy of the reviews especially around it being called a nursing home when the reality is its a very basic old and dated residential home.
