I honestly cannot commend Home Instead highly enough. They have been looking after my mum for five and a half hours, every afternoon since August and it has made such a difference to my life. Home Instead seems to be pretty unique in its approach to care at home . To begin with, my mum has only two carers, one each day, so that they can reallly get to know her and the disruption is minimised. Mum has dementia and would simply never cope with different people coming and going. The carers themselves are amazing and are a brilliant match for my mum, based upon a detailed initial interview with myself. I know that I can trust them completely. I don't live nearby and am unable to visit because of the pandemic, but I just know that she is being well cared for and I never feel the need to check up on anything. I have complete peace of mind on that front. Furthermore, the carers write a detailed account of each visit that can be accessed on a special App. The care manager also reads these reports and has regular case discussions with both myself and the carers. I honestly believe that the carers look after my mum as well as, and probably better than, I could. They are calm and patient and really work hard to find ways of entertaining my mum and alieviating her anxiety. They have been really responsive and have adapted their approaches as they have got to know her better and, according to her changing needs. They really do care and sometimes end up staying beyond their allocated hours in order to ensure that she is settled in bed. Before Home Instead became involved, my mum was living off snack food, as she is no longer able to cook for herself, but she is now eating really healthy home cooked meals, prepared by the carers themselves. I really feel that they are true companions, simply sharing her life with her and helping her out when necessary. However, the thing that impressed me the very most was the willingness of the company to help me out at Christmas time when a member of my household had a COVID positive diagnosis and I could no longer have my mum to stay at our house. In spite of my having cancelled all her care, Home Instead were fantastic. The carers selflesly gave up their leave to help out and when, in desparation, I phoned the office to explain that Boxing Day afternoon could not be covered, the care manager gave up her leave to go and look after my mum. I really can't imagine that there would be many companies that would have responded in this way. A heartfelt thank you Home Instead.

Since Home Instead Senior Care began delivering care to my father -in-law in June 2020. We had struggled getting the right care from different care companies which put a lot of stress on us. Since Home Instead have been delivering care, he has been much calmer and happier. The carers are amazing, they are very attentive towards my father in law. The level of care and interest in my father-in-laws welfare goes beyond all expectations. We are very happy and most of all my father in law is happier too. The carers are like family and they truly do deliver care with a touch of going that extra mile. The hourly calls are fantastic as there is no rush and creates a much calmer environment for the client and family and needs can be met to the highest standard. All I can say is thank you for your support and kindness. The managers are absolutely fantastic. They listen, they action and they create a package that is thought through and implement delivery with carefully selected carers which are experienced in the clients back ground and desired outcome.
