I do not recommend the worst clinic. Worst doctors, not pleasant. You ask for a face-to-face visit, you get the answer what the visit is for. Avoid

Receptionists seem to ignore patients at the desk and prefer to lead a conversation between each other. In my two years with this practice my phone calls have only been answered a few times. Usually phone calls go unanswered and when I visit the practice and stand by the reception window the receptionist have much more important things to talk about in the back then helping a patient. Many times I had to call the reception while waiting at the window to attempt to get their attention. This is a common complaint amongst many patients of this practice. Receptionist are not engaged with their work, prioritise personal stories (like how was their visit to Lake District) over helping patients and even if you do speak to the receptionists they seem uniterested in helping, not very polite and you feel extremely rushed. Visits with the GP are also not of the greatest standard. At my old practice in Manchester I never felt rushed or felt like the GP is not interested in my issue or concern. At this practice however I feel like the GP is not there to listen to me but is there to say the word next all questions are short and your are pressured for your answers to also be short. Its pretty much: get in, whats wrong? Heres a pill, goodbye. No way can you adress 2 issues at a time even if they are possibly related. Tried that twice and was told to book another appointment. I struggle to express myself due to a low level of autism but I feel so rushed I am actually afffraid to address my medical issues. I understand GPs have a target time per patient but dont make it so obvious. I never experienced this at my past practice however with meadow view surgery I dont even feel comfortable booking an appointment as I know I wont be listened to even if this issue involves my mental health or any other issue in fact. Yes GPs have a per patient target time but its a target time and should not be treated as limit. Some patients require more time to explain their concern then others. I am yet to experience at meadow view surgery a GP visit where I dont feel rushed and I feel that the doctor acually and truly cares. The practice should also utilise all current tools to make the patient/doctor contact easier. At my partners practice, he is able to write a message to the GP and the GP can comuncate back with the him over a secure online message system or by calling the him back and even being able to do a video call. These tools that are being used by 1000s of GPs to improve the GP/patient relationship. If correctly arranged and organised would be of great value to this practice and would also reduce the amount of face to face consultations which in turn would provide more time for a consultation with each patient in person or phone/video consultation.

I came from a surgery in Walkden in 2012 to here, what a refreshing change they're great, very very caring. Dr Atrey particularly. My old surgery you were waiting 2 weeks to see someone and the doctors didn't care, here they do. Highly recommended
