Round Meadow Barn

We decided to spend a night in the Peak District on the way back from the Yorkshire Dales and were able to book a room at Round Meadow Barn at short notice, for a great price. The location was wonderful with spectacular views and the property was beautifully presented throughout. We were made to feel very welcome and looked after very well by the hosts, Geof and Gill who were extremely kind and friendly. In the evening, Gill made us a pot of tea and we sat in the garden looking out over breathtaking views. We then slept in an incredibly comfy bed and woke up to a delicious breakfast. Everything was perfect and we left feeling exceptionally relaxed!

It was an absolute joy to stay at this B&B. The hosts are super charming, and the breakfast is delicious. I feel at home and the fact that I'm only minutes away from great hikes is just icing on the cake. Clean rooms, tea and a kettle in the room, good WiFi, and loads of hot water. By the way if you arrive by train you should take the walking path that goes through the fields. It is both faster and more scenic than the road (Google maps has it marked). For one hike we took the train to Edale and then walked to mam tor and we then walked back to Hope (19km but it felt like 10km).

Geoff and Jill are lovely, wonderful, and kind couple that welcomed us into their home and business with such friendliness that I cherish the memory of visiting the peaks and staying with them for 2 days. Thank you for your hospitality and amazing breakfasts :) I'm really shocked to see any reviews other than 5 star, I've never met such lovely people, seriously they were extremely lovely and so kind, I wish there were more B+Bs like this.
