DCB Roofing

AVOID THIS COMPANY! The two CHAVS driving this company pick-up truck FM15 ETD through Alvaston today (26/4/23) should not be allowed on the road. Has this driver passed his test? He cut me up when his lane was closed then stuck two fingers up at me! If this company employs this type of person they obviously have no integrity allowing employees to drive in this manner. The driver obviously has no brains thinking he can get away with this when the company name is advertised all over their vehicles.

Daniel visited in September and two weeks later gave a quote for roof repair and guttering replacement in September 2020 which I accepted. Then, after waiting a couple of weeks I asked if he would do the work soon and please to set a date. He replied too busy with a large project, I gritted my teeth but thought OK I can live with that (I understand what it is to be a small trader) how about a date in November? Daniel replied OK. Then when I next contacted him he advised that he had contracted Covid and would be out of action of course for a couple of weeks. Since then no communication. I have given up. He talks the talk but has made excuses and not followed up and provide a service as agreed. I am hugely disappointed. My advice: avoid.

I had approx 4-5 people look at my roof, some knocked the door and offered prices that were very cheap, but I was not confident in what they described they were going to do. Dan came and viewed my job and the price was reasonable, not cheap, but he did give me confidence and he knew what he was talking about. It's always a risk with a new trades person. Despite it took a bit of time to confirm the actual time to do the work, due to him being busy and me running short of funds in Covid, I am really pleased we used DCB. His team were reliable and worked hard, tidying up at the end of each day. End result is a great job. I would readily recommend Dan and DCB! Work completed Mar 2022. Approx 130 hips and ridges removed cleaned and PVA'd and reset. Service: Roof repair

After another roofing contractor installed end caps on my property very poorly - they were falling off in days - I checked the internet for a highly rated contractor working in the Derby area and Im pleased that I selected DCB Roofing. With the prospect of forecast high winds the Team turned up to remove the end caps adjacent to my neighbours drive, avoiding the risk of a damages claim. The Team returned a little later to remover and the refit the end caps properly on a day rate basis. I was initially a bit worried by the prospect of adopting a day rate contracting approach, but neednt have done; the team work solidly throughout the job, minimising noise and keeping the site tidy. The final job was exactly what I was hoping for from the original contractor and came in under the expected budget. There is a lesson to learn here: if you engage a cheap contractor, as I did initially, you get what you pay for & possibly a lot less! Engaging a contractor aiming for customer satisfaction - like DCB - will save money and hassle in the long run. 10/10
