Lovely pub lovely food lovely staff

I visited The King's Head with my husband for an evening meal. We were lucky to get a table as it was a last minute booking on Easter Sunday. Good sized car park led us to the rear entrance/exit of the pub. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who gave us a choice of 2 tables. We chose one to the side of the pub just off the function room. I enjoyed a nice latte. Hubby had a beer. Straight to the main courses; beef Sunday roast for hubby and an Asian broccoli meal for me. The food was delicious and good sized portions, but... It was almost cold. Typically, we didn't complain but ate it anyway. It was all very tasty regardless of the temperature. But it would doubtless have been nicer if hot. I followed my main with a "deconstructed" sticky toffee Sundae dessert, which was ok but I wouldn't have again. Definitely not worth the 8.50 price tag. The member of staff who looked after us was lovely. She gave us faultless customer service. A nice place to eat, drink and be merry.

Superb food, cosy atmosphere, very, very friendly staff. We come here every once in while, and its always a 5 star experience for us.
