Probation Service

if you are being referred to this place as a client leaving prison it's not good news. I have worked with many PO before but this one is defiantly the worst. The PO's have absolutely no intention of helping anyone that get released to this PO. I have worked directly with highly vulnerable clients with mental health diagnosis, addiction issues, no family or support network, scared and afraid, who have turned up her after hours of travel to be told that Probation expects you to sleep on the streets. Now buy law you have to sign your licence agreement saying I will reside at a fixed address buy law!! but then tell you you need to go to the council at 4:30pm on a Friday night to be housed. This is why people return to custody not because they re-offend but because the service's that are in place to help them can't be bothered.

Knowing how important this service I dont get why they never pick up the phone! Like there is some ulterior motive to get as many recalled as possible. All we need is for someone to pick up the phone. This is the only place public or private that never picks up their phone, irony about that is the importance of the job and having to deal with possibly dangerous/vulnerable people that came out of prison.

The worse place to rely on for any help or support. If you want to know why the justice system and young people are dying and wrong sentencing is given to this and that person then just call Askey road probation. Very quick to recall you but last people to answer your calls to offer and help or information.
