Chestnuts Campsite

We stayed here late April to start a Norfolk bike packing trip. The hosts were wonderful by opening up camp facilities to us even though we arrived late. The pitch is flat, quiet, (there is some road noise but not enough to wake you up) with a compost toilet and during the peak camping months a wood fired pizza service. There is also a lovely cafe on site with proper espresso-based drinks, great pastries and some sandwiches. We really liked our experience and would return.

Passed this site many times on the way to visit my mum's, but the other day I fancied a coffee and some cake and I'm so glad I did. The cafe and surrounding areas are beautifully laid out little private areas outside lovely inside. Food and beverage was superb and on certain days they have a pizzeria too. Very popular with cyclists and I can see why . The camping is non electric and basic but has a toilet but with large pitches and superb views . Not stayed on the campsite yet but I most certainly will can imagine a lovely summer evening around the cafe area which had big fire pits watching the sun go down . Top marks for how they have thought this out if the coffee and cake was anything to go by then this is a real gem.

Stopped here several times when cycling, good coffee, cake and the sausage rolls are buttery and beautiful, the staff are also really lovely and friendly. When warm theres lots of outdoor seating, when its cold indoors is warm with a wood burner. Top stuff.
